Adding Collateral manually via MPN tree
Collateral can also be manually added directly to the Product in the tree view using the following steps;
Step 1 - Navigate to Data -> Manage -> MPN Tree and use the magnifying glass to search for an
internal part number to which you wish to add the collateral to.
Step 2 - Right click on the internal part number and select View/Edit
Step 3 – Select the Substance Control tab and click on Upload File
Collateral can be uploaded against the RoHS or REACH verdicts, choose the appropriate location to upload the Collateral to according to the declaration type. For RoHS there is also the option to upload information as secondary collateral, for example drawings etc
then click the icon titled Drag and drop or Upload File in the middle of the dialog to select a source file…
Locate the file on your local PC or network area and select Save. If an incorrect file is selected you can remove uploaded collateral by clicking on the red cross next to the uploaded collateral. Press Save.
Users will also need to manually set the compliance status specified in the collateral by selecting appropriate statement from the drop-down box. In addition, for Eu RoHS any specified exemptions can be selected from the Eu Exemption drop-down
Please note collateral updated and values changed on the form will not be saved until the Save at the bottom of the window is selected
Manually refreshing the verdict
Each time values are updated that may affect the compliance verdict the line(s) in question are highlighted in red indicating that the verdict needs to be refreshed. This will happen automatically every 24 hours but can be triggered manually per part as follows;
From the MPN tree select the Verdict Refresh option shown below to initiate a manual verdict rebuild.
