This section demonstrates how to determine which BOM items require SCIP notifications.
It is a good practice to create a verdict group for SCIP, these three verdicts depend on the REACH .1% w/w verdict:

SCIP Status - this is the field that you should use to determine if you should make a SCIP notification or not
If there is not a reportable REACH chemical in the tree, the 3 SCIP verdicts will be blank/null. However if there is a reportable REACH chemical in the tree it doesn't mean that the BOM/item requires a notification! It also depends on the value of the SCIP Notification Needed? field of a tree items.
is a binary verdict which rolls up from the lowest level (materials)
if there is a REACH reportable (REACH .1% w/w) chemical anywhere below, AND if there is a blank, mandatory SCIP field anywhere below AND all SCIP Notification Needed? fields below are set to Yes you will see the SCIP Gap icon
DO NOT create a SCIP notification if there is an icon in the SCIP Gap column
is a text field which rolls up from the lowest level (materials)
every blank, SCIP mandatory field will be rolled up if there is a REACH reportable (REACH .1% w/w) chemical anywhere below AND all SCIP Notification Needed? fields below are set to Yes
you can copy and paste the contents of this column into a text editor to read it better, it is comma separated.
There is a SCIP Gaps report which gives you the same information that can be exported to Excel
DO NOT create a SCIP notification if there is text in the SCIP Gaps column
